If you’re a fan of Malignancy-slash-Disgorge brutal death then you probably just blasted a load right into that pair of tightie-whities you’ve been wearing for over a week now. The only thing is that this is better than Malignancy (this is actually memorable at times) but that’s about it

I think my favorite part about this album is the title, the bastardized quote they ripped off. The band photos on their myspace are pretty lulzy too. So the pace here is much slower for a metal outfit, not going to the drone tempo of slow

This is the new blasphemal attack from this swedish black metal band, raw and brutal speed in drums an guitars id_ here bumping and adding into Darkies (hohoh, rich subtle humor) bland review with my own.

I’m never sure how many people are in this band – I also thought they were Japanese (I swear someone said that) . Either way, this is ‘that’ band that you either like or don’t

Swedish hardcore at it’s best, probably one of the greatest albums in this genre. The songs are catchy and easily memorable, but they’re still furious enough for a quality hc release. It’s a huge favourite of mine, not that metal, but oh well, try it out for yourself.

This band, Dismal Lapse, a hope in non-wanker technical death metulz, a highly talented trio of three (lul) pushing the genre to new highs with this new release. “Eon Fragmentation”, now, I won’t say this is a trully innovation to the genre, because it’s not, but what they do is just outstanding. Imagine a good mix of catchy brutallness with complex technicallity, that’s pretty much what this album offers, an amazing display of catchy grooves followed by brutal arpeggios accompanied with dark and opressed vocals

For someone that has not listened to Ad Hominem before I approached this album with an entirely clean slate, ready to judge on what was displayed before me as I had no preconceived ideas of what the music was going to be like. Of course, one always hopes that the music is going to be good and that it’ll be something aesthetically pleasing, and “Dictator – A Monument Of Glory” certainly is.

Poland’s Acid Drinkers were back for their sophomore effort in 1991. Now I wouldn’t go as far to say that they had mellowed since their debut, but they were overall less chaotic this time around.

This Is hell is a follow up to the good debut album by these Swedish guys and it has more or less the same characteristics in sound and style.

I don’t listen to -core anymore, so I didn’t want to download this at first, but I’m glad I did, because Annotations of an Autopsy, one of the biggest, most boring sell-outs of the already generic deathcore genre started to write good music! What’s that? More contributions! Well fuck me silly and call me wendy! The band calls themself ‘symphonic black metal’ and they certainly get the symphonic part right. There’s a lot of symphony going on here but I’m not so sure on the black metal.

Old Aborted fans will probably be creaming their pants when they hear this album. Knowing how it’s completely different from the last 2 albums, it’s pretty understandable. Coronary Reconstruction is somewhere in between Goremageddon and Abattoir regarding style, it lacks the groove-metal-esque meainstreamishness of Strychnine and the blandness of Slaughter & Apparatus
